Small Beginnings…

Welcome!

A warm welcome to The Crooked Shed website! It’s been an education for two technophobes getting here - but we’re so pleased with the results and we hope you enjoy looking around.

There’s a few folk we’d like to thank for their amazing help in getting this together…

Ryn Frank Design

Ryn Frank was a favourite of ours on Instagram - but we never dreamed we’d be lucky enough to have one of her designs for our logo! We fell in love with her beautiful and simple style of illustration immediately, so having Ryn and her team at Ryn Frank Design do our website was an amazing start to things. They were very patient with us and we absolutely love the logo and website.

Andy Barr Photographer

Andy is a professional photographer who has over 30 years experience in his field, so watching him bring The Crooked Shed creations to life on screen was incredible to watch! He generously spent a weekend with us, carrying furniture in the mud and standing in some smelly barns in between working his magic. He worked tirelessly helping us create images that helped show the furniture at it’s best, we can’t thank him enough… We certainly weren’t the most glamorous people he’s worked with let’s put it that way! Check out his extensive portfolio (and more prestigious subjects) at www.andybarr.com

Braemar Gallery

Kirsty and Andy at Braemar Gallery are both artists themselves and we think this is what makes them such amazing supporters of other artists and makers. They have not only supported and encouraged us (and helped us sell our wares), but also generously provided space for photographer Andy Barr to create some fab photos - and in such a beautiful space it wasn’t hard! It’s a joy to walk around the gallery and also is an amazing wee music venue too. We recommend you check out what’s happening at this fab creative hub. Tundra Workshop .

Here’s to more crooked creative collaborations in the future - big thank you to everyone - Slàinte Mhath!
