Alder Magazine Interview & Feature
I was delighted to be featured in this year’s edition (No. 2) of Alder Magazine, which is issued annually by Mary Arnold Forster, an architect based in Dunkeld.
I had the pleasure of meeting Mary and attending the Magazine launch in Edinburgh, which was a great evening. I got the opportunity to meet some of the other makers, architects and owners of these amazing properties, and to hear the interesting stories and insights from all the people who play a part in bringing these amazing projects together.
This year’s magazine features work by a local architect and buddy of mine, Ben Addy of Moxon Architects.
I have worked with Ben and his brother Tom (of Tor Workshop & Whiskey Room) on a number of collaborations over the years and it was a delight to be featured in the Magazine and aknowledged for my part in some of the wonderful projects that Ben has ongoing at his home.
Being asked to help bring to life the vision that Ben and his wife Naomi have for their home is very exciting.
It always has it’s fair share of unique challenges! But…I enjoy those challenges and wouldn’t have it any other way to be honest. I think it keeps me on my toes! (Or is that thinking on my feet…)
I was interviewed by one of Mary’s architects, Matt Doran and photographed by Matt Baker. It was new and a bit of a nerve wracking experience for me! But both the Matts made it easy and fun.
